The Clearabee Co-op contract will last for three years

Rubbish removal business Clearabee has been awarded a three-year, multi-million pound contract to provide reactive waste removal services to the Co-op.

Clearabee will handle all unplanned waste removal for the Co-op’s 2,500 retail stores and 1,000 funeralcare businesses across the UK.

Over 5,000 on-demand waste collections are predicted each year, with requests serviced by Clearabee’s house team of 250 people and fleet of 100 vehicles across the UK.

It is one of the company’s biggest commercial deals.

Abbie Case, senior contract manager at Co-op Group Property, said: “As a well known brand in the retail industry we need to work with organisations that we can rely on, Clearabee has proven to us that it can support our business reliably, at scale and precisely when and where we need them to.”
