Jacqueline O'Donovan wins Outstanding Woman in Construction award

Managing director of O’Donovan Waste Disposal, Jacqueline O’Donovan, has been crowned 'Outstanding Woman in Construction' at the recent Women in Construction Awards.

O’Donovan has run the family firm, which provides waste management services to the construction and demolition sector since 1984 and is said to be a passionate pioneer of construction logistics safety and increasing the recovery of recyclable material from a myriad of waste produced on construction sites.

According to a spokesperson on behalf of O'Donovan's, O’Donovan is also an important role model for women in the waste and construction industries and champions women in senior management roles, providing mentoring support for a number of women within O’Donovan and elsewhere in the industry.

O'Donovan said: “At O’Donovan we have worked tirelessly to improve the safety of vehicles servicing London’s construction industry and the sector’s sustainability credentials by improving recovery and recycling rates.”
