Independent commercial auctioneers John Pye has awarded its waste removal and recycling contract to Wastecycle.

The auctioneer has entered into a partnership with the resource management specialist which is expected to provide waste bins and roll on, roll offs for John Pye’s head office in Nottingham.

“With our previous supplier taking up to two weeks to collect a full roll-on, roll-off container, we needed a partner which could deliver a high-quality service and ensure timely collections,” said Mike Vitale, John Pye’s Nottingham general auction manager. “Wastecycle is a local company which has offered to collect containers within 24 hours."

John Pye started his company in 1968, undertaking probate property clearances in Nottingham that other auctioneers in the city are said to have overlooked. Today, the company offers a range of disposal services for a clients which includes high street retailers, insolvency practitioners and government agencies.

Fran Conway at Wastecycle said: “Wastecycle’s reliability, closeness to their head office, competitive pricing and short notice collections obviously proved to a very attractive lot for John Pye.”

Wastecycle is an East Midlands-based resource management and recycling company which is reported to process more than 500,000 tonnes of materials each year, with over 95% of waste being recycled or recovered. Part of DCC Environmental, the company operates from sites in Nottingham and Leicester.
