Grundon Waste Management has secured a long-term contract with operator Severn Waste Services.

Air Pollution Control reside will now be taken from the new EnviRecover Energy from Waste facility in Worcestershire to a Carbon8 facility in Avonmouth, near Bristol, where it will be converted into carbon negative aggregate.

Paddy Kelly, EnviRecover General Manager at Severn Waste Services, said: "EnviRecover has provided a more environmentally friendly solution for the management of residual waste in Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

"Engaging in recycling activities for our process residues enables us to make our activities even more sustainable.”

Grundon has a significant investment in Carbon8 Aggregates, which uses a patented Accelerated Carbonation Technology (ACT) process to manufacture high quality lightweight aggregate called C8Aggregate (C8Agg).
