LondonWaste has announced it will be rebranding to LondonEnergy.

In a statement, the company said the change reflects its transition to a business responsible for the management of valuable resources through reuse, recycling and the production of sustainable energy.

LondonEnergy has also changed its strapline to 'Powering the Circular Economy'.

Peter Sharpe, LondonEnergy managing director, said: "We are transforming from a traditional waste management business in to an energy, recycling and resource management business and this rebranding better reflects the current and future activities of the company."

LondonEnergy manages the household waste from over 1.9 million residents across seven North London boroughs.
