On-demand waste clearance business Clearabee has boosted its portfolio by acquiring skip bag and hire services provider SKIPBAG this week.

SKIPBAG, based in Ripley, Derbyshire, sells skip bags to thousands of UK customers each year and arranges collection of them when full.

It will continue to exist as a retail platform and brand selling skip brands.

The purchase sees Clearabee expand its capabilities for handling construction waste.

With the new acquisition, Clearabee now forecasts sales of more than £21m for 2020.

Daniel Long, co-founder and managing director at Clearabee, said: “SKIPBAG is a fantastic brand which has provided a convenient, low-cost alternative to traditional skips for more than 20 years, and is now recognised as a leading provider of waste clearance services in the UK.

“We are thrilled that SKIPBAG is now part of Clearabee.

“This acquisition complements our existing services and expands our reach and customer base across the UK.”
